In his remarks, he affirmed that his administration will always be in full support of SSC’s endeavors, projects, and visions, as long as it does not contradict any university policy.
Simon further highlighted how it is imperative that the administration and the students work hand in hand.

Eighteen (18) SSC officers-elect, took the oath of office, pledging their dedication to represent the student body in integrity and dedication with Simon acting as the inducting officer.
John Michael Dacquil, the newly-elected SSC President, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the students. “My heart is full of joy and, at the same time, filled with excitement.
“I have been in the council since then. But being the SSC President is another level of responsibility.
“Although it is indeed challenging, pinaghandaan ko ito,” Dacquil said in an interview.

The collaboration between the campus administration and the SSC is expected to bring about several positive changes in the academic year. Both parties have indicated their focus on enhancing student services, improving campus facilities, and fostering a culture of open dialogue to address student concerns effectively.
“Most of my projects and platforms revolve more on student development,” Dacquil answered when asked what are his top priorities for his term.
“I want to provide platforms for them to showcase what they’ve got not just inside the campus or within the system but also at regional and national levels.
“Aside from that, I also want to emphasize our goal to create a safer environment for students. To achieve this, we plan to make the Students’ Rights and Welfare (STRAW) Committee wider and stronger.
“We are also driven to create a safer learning environment for our students who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community,” he added.
Meanwhile, instructors Joshua Bautista and Jean Claude Benitez from the Physical Education Department and Electrical Engineering Department, respectively, are both set to be designated as new SSC advisers.
