Dr. Alfonso Ramos Simon has been recognized as the Grand Awardee in the Education Category of the prestigious Search for the Most Outstanding Isabeleños for 2026. The recognition was formally conferred by the Provincial Government of Isabela on May 11, 2026, in line with the celebration of Isabela Day. The distinction honors Isabeleños whose achievements transcend personal success and whose dedication to service continues to inspire communities, strengthen institutions, and bring lasting pride to the province. It recognizes individuals whose contributions create meaningful and enduring impact in their respective fields. Dr. Simon presently serves as the Cluster Executive Officer of Isabela State University–Ilagan and as the Officer-in-Charge President of Quirino State University. He also previously served as President of Batanes State College. Throughout his years in academic leadership, he has demonstrated unwavering commitment to educational excellence, institutional development, and transformative public service. His remarkable contributions to the education sector have left a significant mark on the academic community and have further elevated the standards of leadership and service in higher education.
