ILAGAN CITY, ISABELA | August 10, 2026 — In celebration of unity, friendship, and regional solidarity, the Isabela State University – City of Ilagan Campus officially kicked off its ASEAN Month Celebration 2026 through a vibrant Flag Raising Ceremony held this morning at the campus.

The celebration opened with the Campus ASEAN Parade, featuring the colors of the ASEAN member states, together with the ISU Ilagan Marching Band, campus officials, faculty and non-teaching staff, student leaders, and students. The parade highlighted the diversity and shared identity of the Southeast Asian community.

Highlighting the ceremony was the inspirational message of Dr. Alfonso R. Simon, Cluster Executive Officer, who emphasized the importance of unity, cooperation, cultural appreciation, and building stronger connections among people and nations.

The celebration serves as a meaningful reminder that ASEAN is more than a community of nations—it is a community built on friendship, respect, diversity, and shared aspirations for a peaceful and progressive region.

The program concluded with a photo opportunity, capturing the collective spirit of the ISU–City of Ilagan community as it joins the nation and the ASEAN community in celebrating ASEAN Month 2026.
