𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | ISU–Ilagan Architecture Department Takes Part in Earthquake Preparedness Drill

October 17, 2025 — In line with its commitment to safety and disaster preparedness, the faculty, teachers, and students from the Department of Architecture of Isabela State University–Ilagan Campus participated in an earthquake drill held in the open space at the front of the new CEAT building. The activity was conducted in coordination with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The drill aimed to strengthen the department’s readiness and awareness in responding to possible earthquake situations, especially as several parts of the Philippines have recently experienced tremors. With the guidance of safety officers, participants practiced the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique, followed by proper evacuation procedures to designated safe areas.

Through this initiative, ISU–Ilagan continues to emphasize the importance of disaster awareness and preparedness, reminding everyone that being informed and ready can make a life-saving difference during unexpected natural disasters.
