𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | UAPSA-ISU’s Kickstart 2025 Anchors Connections Among Architecture Students

The United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary – Isabela State University (UAPSA-ISU) successfully launched Kickstart 2025, a pillar event that strengthens camaraderie, leadership, and resilience among architecture students, at the ISU-Ilagan Gymnasium on September 27, 2025. The event, themed “Harbor: Anchoring Connections,” brought together architecture students for a day of teambuilding and shared experiences.
The afternoon session kicked off with a warm-up exercise led by UAPSA-ISU Commissioner for Socio-Cultural Marianne Martinez, energizing the students and showcasing their ability to build connections beyond drawings and sketches. The students were grouped and tasked with creating their own banners and yells, demonstrating their creative abilities and unity.
The event featured 11 stations, each with unique mechanics and twists that tested the students’ patience, focus, coordination, and teamwork. Stations included “Cupstruction,” “Arkiwiz,” “Master Plumber,” and “Flood Cone-trol,” among others. The challenges required students to work together, think strategically, and showcase their skills through riddles.
After a fun-filled day of games and activities, the group “6 O’clock” emerged as the overall champion, followed by “Banshee” as the 1st runner-up and “Five Control” as the 2nd runner-up. In the yell-making competition, “Five Control” took the top spot, followed by “Squatects” in second place and “7 Team” in third. The creative banner-making contest also saw “Five Control” claim first place, with “6 O’Clock” in second and “Diyes-Abel” in third.
Special awards were also given out, with “Five Control” receiving Best Muse, “6 O’Clock” taking home Best Leader, and “VTres” being recognized as the Most Disciplined Group.
The winners were announced by John Rommel Ancheta, with the assistance of Sonny Boy Guiuo, Vice President for Planning and Development, District Director for Area 1-C, and Heart Gywn Failano, Chapter Secretary.
The event concluded with a Hydro Splash Party led by the BFP Ilagan, leaving the architecture students with smiles and a sense of satisfaction. The UAPSA Officers added a touch of excitement with blue smoke bombs, highlighting the event’s color theme.
Kickstart 2025 embodied the true spirit of its theme, “Harbor: Anchoring Connections,” and reinforced the importance of building relationships and working together among architecture students.
