52 New Electrical Engineers Propel ISU Ilagan to 23rd Rank Among Top Performing Schools in April 2024 REE Exam

Isabela State University (ISU) Ilagan celebrates a remarkable achievement as 52 of its students successfully passed the April 2024 Board Examination for Registered Electrical Engineers (REE), propelling the university to rank 23rd among the top-performing schools in the Philippines. This outstanding feat reflects the excellence of ISU Ilagan’s Electrical Engineering program and the hard work of both its students and faculty.

The results were officially released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), and ISU Ilagan’s performance has garnered widespread praise from the academic community and beyond. With a high passing rate, the 52 new electrical engineers bring pride to the university, which continues to cement its place as a leader in engineering education in the region.

Engr. Alfonso R. Simon, PhD, Executive Officer of ISU Ilagan, expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments. “This remarkable achievement is a testament to the caliber of our students and the strength of our academic programs. The hard work, dedication, and support from our faculty members have been integral to their success. We are incredibly proud to see our Electrical Engineering program gain national recognition,” he said.

Among the newly licensed engineers, a number of students stood out for their exemplary performance, including top scorers who achieved impressive marks in the examination. The collective success of the 52 electrical engineers, combined with the high passing rate, solidifies ISU Ilagan’s reputation as a premier institution for electrical engineering education.

Engr. Mary Grace M. Baquiran and Engr. Crestian Agustin, Chairperson of the Electrical Engineering Department and Dean of CEAT, congratulated the new engineers and expressed gratitude to the university’s faculty, who played a pivotal role in preparing the students for the challenging examination. “The success of our students is a shared achievement. Our faculty members have provided the guidance and knowledge necessary to help these future engineers succeed, and we are proud to witness the fruition of their hard work,” Dr. Agustin said.
