CEAT Faculty Members Achieve Advanced Degrees in Graduate Studies
Several faculty members from the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT) have recently completed graduate programs this SY 2023-2024, solidifying their commitment to academic excellence and advanced knowledge in their respective fields. Their achievements reflect CEAT’s dedication to fostering an environment of continuous learning, which benefits both the institution’s students and the broader industry.
The faculty members, specializing in fields such as civil engineering, electrical engineering, and architectural technology, have earned master’s and doctoral degrees from prestigious universities, focusing on various fields. This milestone signifies not only personal accomplishment but also contributes to the college’s mission to enhance the quality of education by incorporating cutting-edge knowledge and research into the classroom.
Dean of CEAT, Engr. Crestian Agustin, PhD, expressed pride in the faculty’s achievements, stating, “Our faculty’s dedication in advancing their own education mirrors our college’s dedication in providing the best educational experience possible. This commitment is an investment in our students’ future, as our faculty members bring newfound insights and expertise directly into their teaching and mentorship.”
Engr. Maribel S. Abalos and Dr. Orfel Bejarin, both completed Doctor of Information Technology at Isabela State University- Cauayan Campus, shared that his graduate studies enabled them to develop practical applications of ICT in disaster management and agriculture. “My experience in the graduate program gave me hands-on experience with the latest innovations in the ICT field, which I’m excited to integrate into my courses. This will allow students to learn not only the theory but also real-world applications,” said Dr. Abalos.
Meanwhile, Ar. Blesie Joy M. Laguna and Ar. Razel B. Tacay, who both completed a master’s in environmental science, emphasized how her advanced studies focused on sustainable urban design accented with environment innovations, which they hope to bring students and contribute to regional development initiatives. Other faculty members graduated this year are, Ms. Elizabeth V. Abrenilla with the degree Master of Arts in Industrial Education, and Engr. Frederick Gallo in master’s in engineering major in Electrical Engineering at the University of Saint Louis.
CEAT faculty members’ achievements also strengthen the college’s reputation as a premier institution for engineering and technology education. Industry leaders often look to CEAT graduates as future leaders, and with faculty members now better equipped with advanced skills, the college’s graduates will be even more prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly changing industry.
