CEAT Holds Inaugural “Danggay ken Dayaw 2024” Celebration, Honoring Student and Faculty Excellence

The College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT) at Isabela State University (ISU) Ilagan proudly held its first-ever Danggay ken Dayaw 2024 celebration under the theme, “#TatakCEAT: Championing Excellence, Amplifying Talents” Named after the Ilocano words for “Celebration and Recognition” is an honorific gesture of the College that highlighted the hard work, academic achievements, and community contributions of CEAT’s student body, setting a high standard for academic and personal growth.

The Guest Speaker is a proud alumnus of ISU Ilagan. AR. RONAN A. CALIBOSO, RMP, a successful young and visionary architect with an impressive portfolio of various projects, ranging from eco-friendly residential complexes to commercial spaces. He propelled to establish his own architectural design and consultancy.

The ceremony, held in the university auditorium, brought together students, faculty, and administrators to celebrate excellence across various fields, including academic performance, leadership, and research. In his opening remarks, Engr. Crestian A, Agustin, Dean of CEAT, emphasized the importance of recognizing student accomplishments as an inspiration to the entire community, “Our students’ dedication and commitment are the foundation of CEAT’s success. Today, we honor those who have gone above and beyond to make a difference in their studies, campus life, and the community.”

Among the awards presented was the Academic Excellence Award, which was given to top-performing students across all departments. These students were celebrated for their consistent academic achievements and dedication to their studies. In addition to academic awards, the event also celebrated student leaders who have made significant contributions to campus organizations and community outreach. Danggay ken Dayaw 2024 marks a new tradition for CEAT, reinforcing its commitment to honoring the talents and hard work of its students and faculty, and strengthening its reputation as a leader in engineering, architecture, and technology education.
