ICT Pinning Ceremony 2026: Marking the Beginning of a New Professional Journey

February 11, 2026 — A significant milestone was celebrated today as the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department held its Pinning Ceremony at the new CEAT AVR. The momentous event signified the official send-off of ICT students as they embark on their On-the-Job Training (OJT), a vital step toward becoming future IT professionals.

The program was graced by esteemed campus officials, faculty members, and proud parents who gathered to witness this meaningful rite of passage. Present during the ceremony were the Cluster Executive Officer, Prof. Dr. Alfonso R. Simon; the Dean of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, Dr. Engr. Crestian A. Agustin; the Program Chair of the ICT Department, Dr. Orfel L. Bejarin; faculty members of the department; and supportive parents who stood behind their children in this important chapter of their academic journey.

The highlight of the event was the inspiring message delivered by the Guest Speaker, Atty. Maria Kristel L. Pascual, Campus Human Resource Officer and a distinguished alumna of the ICT Department. In her address, she encouraged the student-interns to treat their OJT as real work, emphasizing that this phase is more than a requirement—it is a training ground for their future careers. She reminded them that their OJT experience will serve as a stepping stone toward becoming competent and responsible IT professionals.

Adding further inspiration to the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Alfonso R. Simon, Cluster Executive Officer of the institution, imparted words of encouragement to the interns. He urged them to build their future with confidence, strengthen their expertise, and keep their faith in God as they navigate the professional world. His message highlighted the importance of character, competence, and faith as foundations of long-term success.

As the pins were solemnly conferred, they symbolized not only readiness and responsibility but also commitment and aspiration. May these pins serve as constant reminders of the hard work invested, the knowledge gained, and the bright future that lies ahead.
