Isabela State University – Ilagan Campus Successfully Passes ISO Recertification Audit

The Isabela State University- City of Ilagan has successfully passed its ISO Recertification Audit conducted on January 19–21, 2026, reaffirming its strong commitment to quality assurance, good governance, and continuous improvement.

The recertification confirms that ISU- Ilagan’s Quality Management System continues to conform to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015, covering its core functions in instruction, research, extension, and administrative services across its campuses and key offices.

Dr. Alfonso R. Simon, Cluster Executive Director expressed gratitude to the external auditors and commended the entire Campus community for their collective effort throughout the three-day audit.

“This exercise has once again reminded us that quality is not a destination, but a continuous journey—one that demands discipline, consistency, and a shared sense of responsibility. It also affirms that quality is embedded not only in our systems, but in our daily service to our students and stakeholders”, Dr. Simon said.

The audit team cited several good practices and strengths in the Campus’ overall operations, while also providing constructive observations and opportunities for further improvement. Campus officials, led by Dr. Simon, have committed to promptly addressing all audit findings and to sustaining a culture of continuous improvement in all units.

The successful ISO Recertification underscores ISU-Ilagan’s adherence to international standards in quality management and reinforces its commitment to quality and excellence.

As ISU-Ilagan continues to move forward, the Campus remains committed to sustaining its Quality Management System and to providing efficient, transparent, and responsive services to its students, partners, and the public.
