ISU-Ilagan and S&A Learning Solutions Forge Partnership to Elevate ICT Education
In a landmark move to advance Information and Communications Technology (ICT) education, Isabela State University Ilagan Campus (ISU-Ilagan) and S&A Learning Solutions formalized their partnership on July 31, 2024. This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), signed at the ISU-Ilagan Campus, aims to foster industry-academic collaboration to enhance curriculum, teaching methodologies, and hands-on learning opportunities for ICT students.
The signing ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including Engr. Alfonso R. Simon, PhD, Executive Officer of ISU-Ilagan, and Roumel R. Arevalo, Sales Manager of S&A Learning Solutions, as well as ICT Chair Roman Alex F. Lustro, faculty representative Orfel L. Bejarin, and Dean Engr. Crestian A. Agustin of the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology. The presence of campus directors further underscored the significance of this partnership.
This collaboration is expected to equip students with industry-relevant skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the rapidly evolving ICT sector. Roumel R. Arevalo emphasized the agreement’s goal to support the university in producing highly skilled professionals who can contribute meaningfully to the ICT industry.
Under the MOA, the partnership will focus on curriculum development, faculty training, student internships, and access to industry-standard resources and technology. These initiatives will bridge the gap between academia and industry, providing students with essential, real-world experience.
