Panublix Team Conducts Visit and On-Site Shoot at RYPIC
Officials of the Panublix Innovations Inc., headed by Ms. Claire Samantha T. Juanico, Co-Founder and BFF Project Director, and her team, visited the Regional Yarn Production and Innovation Center (RYPIC) at the Isabela State University-Ilagan Campus, to conduct an on-site shoot of the facility on October 16, 2023.
Panublix Innovations Inc. is a social enterprise that aims to link local textile manufacturers, handloom weavers, and dye hub communities for a diverse and inclusive Philippine textile industry. The company plans to partner and collaborate with ISU-Ilagan and the DOST PTRI towards boosting the local textile industry in the region and in the country.
After the facilities tour, the group met with Engr. Alfonso R. Simon, Cluster Executive Officer of ISU-Ilagan Cluster for a dialogue on how the two parties may further contribute to the advancement of the local textile industry, especially on the use and promotion of bamboo as a natural fiber textile. The discussions were also participated in by Dr. Freddie O. Orperia, RYPIC Focal Person, officials of Panublix Innovations, Inc. and staff of the RYPIC-Isabela.
